Slightly overlooked and possibly in the shadows of the classic Seamaster Diver 300M, the Planet Ocean is the most capable collection of dive watches in Omega’s range, comprising models from 600m up to 6000m water-resistance (without counting the all-mighty Ultra-Deep that survived the Mariana Trench). Born in 2005, it will be celebrating its 20th anniversary this year, and we can possibly expect a few surprises coming from Bienne. Then is the hour chapter ring, with a discreet honeycomb pattern (again by laser ablation) in black DLC and large applied markers, which are brushed and filled with Super-LumiNova. This section also includes the date at 6 o’clock. Finally, the outer section is devoted to the city ring, in two colours (black and grey or turquoise)… And you’ll see that the Central Europe Time (or GMT+1) isn’t indicated by Paris (as it usually is) but by Bienne, the hometown of top Omega fake watches.
